Not as good as AR.

When the technology exists to be fully immersible then it might be worthwhile.

I am getting loads of people saying how good it is but I think to try and do it would be costly, time consuming and maybe not that good. Also with technology moving on so quickly, I could be left, with obsolete footage and equipment.

^^^ Exactly this ^^^. Like any new tech' it's clunky. 10 years from now we'll be immersed in it and only leave the house for wine supplies. Oh, except we'll be too virtually drunk to go out.

Thank you Tony,

I am not ready to take a risk on getting it wrong.

In light of this I have just bought another new set of Pro video gear. I have also binned the Sony still camera and gone back to Canon :wordpoop: :wordpoop: :wordpoop: :phone2: :wordpoop:

It is expensive still, I've had a go with two, the Sony PlayStation and the GoPro.

Don't know if you could use the Sony with third party devices and the GoPro needs six cameras before you even start.

Butt they both were uery good and I can see them taking off if the price comes down.

Like you say though and as happend with 4K, if you jump in at the start you might find that in a couple of years the kit is no longer compatible with the latest stuff.

This is the GoPro VR clip I saw at the GP, butt instead of dragging the picture around you just turn your head and it's all you can see.
