Here are all the test results and ways to download on mobile/tablet devices.

iPhone;
Just using Safari all the streaming MP4 options work, none of the WMV options streamed.

All the MP4 options play the video but do not download.

Only the iPod WMV download version plays but does not download.

Photos display but do not download.

iPhone Mobile Site
MP4 video plays but does not download.

Photos display but do not download.

(Also tried with Google Chrome, same results)

iPad;
Same results as iPhone.

To download videos and photos to iPhone/iPad you need to download an app such as Goodplayer (Apple App Store £1.99) that will play and download numerous formats of videos.

Two main options
1. Select download WMV from the options, the apple busy light will spin and you will then get an option to open in Goodplayer, select "open" and the video will play and be saved in Goodplayer.

2. Open the site in the Goodplayer browser and when you select download either WMV or MP4 you immediately get the option to download file. With this option you can download MP4 and export to iMovie.

Downloading photos works in much the same way, download with Goodplayer, open zip file and then view pics in iPhoto. (No thumbnail views in Goodplayer)

From our techno guru, Pasty......
...........................
I'm just looking now, it seems to be iOS8 rather than just the iPhone6, I can't stream mp4 anymore on my old i5 either that's got iOS8 on it.

From what I've read on Google so far the best way to fix it is with One of the multi format media apps available.

It is a Safari issue with iOS8 (iOS7 still works as before) hopefully they'll fix it in future updates,

There is an easy fix, just download the free Mercury Web Browser App and it streams fine.

Streamed the 720p and 1080p fine on my Samsung II pad. 1239 seemed appropriate - titled Getting Hot.

ML, he is on a HTC Desire 625 and says that it doesn't work. Do you have any ideas?

An obvious question - can he play videos from other sites? Youtube, for example.

He could also try downloading and trying different browser Apps, it can make a difference.

FireFox or Mercury worked quite well.
