'Nadolig Llawen' means Merry Christmas in which western European language?

Lyrics........

Mary Bradley waits at home,
In the nuclear fallout zone.

Darn it, I could have had the double, the Merry Christmas is very similar to the Cornish Nadelik Lowen and I do believe the lyrics are from that chap that sang about Pastys Kitchen Jona Lewie Stop the Calvary.

So it's Christmas Eve and we have the last question for the thread.........

Who wrote each of the following words?

a) "It was always said of him, that he knew how to keep Christmas well, if any man alive possessed the knowledge."

b) "Maybe Christmas he thought, doesn't come from a store."

And the Lyrics come from the best Christmas song ever...........

You´re a bum you´re a punk
You´re an old slut on junk

The lyrics are Fairytale of New York - The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl. Top tune! :2Thumbs:

a) is Scrooge.
b) - I had to look up and then wanted to kick myself soundly as I knew it.

That, my friends, is the last of the questions in this thread.

A great thanks to Mr L for kicking this off at the beginning of 2012, and Pasty for stepping into the breach on occasion to make sure it kept going whilst we were away.

However its difficult to keep it going day after day.

But don't be disappointed because something else will return in its place in the New Year.

For all of you who had visited and especially those that have had a go at the quiz, I thank you.

Merry Christmas to you all.

H
