Back in the pool today Miss? :scuba:
Yes a quick 50 ...
And a cycle too ... ? :cyclist:
No not today, still getting over the road rage attempt to run over me.
46 km on the MTB today. 1 H 59 min.
all downhill?

Tthat is very quick :allhail:

A few climbs, but mostly rather flat. We don't have that much hills here. It was a good ride.
Oh bugger, I know you don't just me being :dumb:

I've been thinking about downloading Strava for a while. I need to find a course where I'm really quick to post a time. :)

Here's my simple daily home malarkey, approx 15 minutes.

Barbell Hack Squat 120KG 20reps (a Hybrid of deadlift and squat since I have no rack and can't standing press that weight over and behind my head)
Barbell Bent over row 105KG 20 reps
Barbell Bench Press 90KG 20reps (a struggle to make 20 at that)
Dumbell standing shoulder Press 54KG 20reps
Dumbell Upright row 54KG 20reps (I'd rather do pull ups instead, but don't trust those doorframe bars)

I'll thow in some sit ups etc last thing at night.

Weights have gone up in small increments regularly in about a month, now it's starting to get harder.
Once I've hit 20 reps, I decide then when to add a couple of biscuits(0.5 or 1KG discs) and so forth. Simples.

For everyday it's not ideal by a long shot, I'm just getting weights back up for now without doing a joint tearing multi set split.
I'm finding I'm not stiff in the morning either like after a split jobbie.

All free weight compounds, no isolations, no machines to balance the weight and make it easier.
Tried to make it pretty even with some opposite movement planes.
I can kid myself that by doing 20reps of a squat variation, that I'm doing some actual cardio at the same time as well.
20 squat reps will have you heavy breathing, similar to having a good tug to a Miss Hybrid video.

No contact sports anymore, so my only cardio at the moment is 3mile drunken powerwalks back home when I decide to not use a taxi.
Not much of a cyclits either, my bike hasn't been touched for over two years.

Did everyone stop after 60days?

Upped the weight a bit yesterday and got...
Hacks 135KG 10reps
Barbell Row 120KG 10reps
Bench 105KG 10reps
Barbell Upright row 70KG 10reps
Military press 70KG 10reps

Then dropped the weight today...
70KG for Hacks, BBrow and Bench.
40KG for upright row and press.
Inbetween 38-50 straight reps for each depending on which exercise.

No burn or lactic on 10-20reps previously, much different trying for 50reps in this heat tho, harder overall exercise and more of a mind game even though the weight is much lighter. Might stick at this for a bit only upping weight once at 50reps for each.

No I am still going strong. Spinning watching the TDF and then one body tart a day in the gym.

I must add my 60 day figures when I have done today's update.

That is some workout R! You should invest in a squat rack, with safety arms.

I am trying to build up the number of chins I can do but I am not making a lot of progress :walkies:

Actually I'm on to week 4 of the 100 pushup challenge. I am having to repeat some days as I am not progressing as quickly as the chart suggests is possible (probably being an old fart doesn't help). Still, at the last count it was a total of 80 pushups over a 12 minute period. (16/18/13/13/20 - with 2 minute rest between each set).

Ah, good work everyone.

Miss H, nice idea watching TDF while spinning, good motivation.

Reports say Froome is pulling away again and Cavendish had piss chucked on him by spectators!

I was still going strong with my cycling and a bit of running, until my accident last week. Whilst my bike is away having a check up I tried the spinning bike at the gym last night - managed 45mins slowly building up the resistance. Chest was a little sore and had to be careful when doing standing climbs not to aggravate my wrist (which is now feeling much better).

Took the MTB out today to get to the railway station and back - not very far but came home through the woods and the wrist help up well with the extra bouncing. I shall put the wrist through its final test later - Miss H has a new update!
