If memory serves me correctly, their big heyday was the early to mid-80's. Their other big hit that I remember was "The Warrior". They were headed up by Patty Smyth.....who married tennis great John McEnroe wayyyy back in '97 & she remains his wife to this day.

I figured today being the day that it is and all.....I'd go with this one! Ha ha ha!

The title is actually "Superstitious", but your answer is close enough (besides, the fact that you were merely VERY close shows you didn't Google it....ha ha ha!) & Stevie Wonder is absolutely correct. Great job as usual who???

Today, we have a split crown & co-Kings! Great job as usual guys!

Tricky one that for the artists. I know Nina Simone did it and I thing The Pretenders as well. Not sure that it was a hit for Chrissie Hynde though.

Angel of the Morning is the song. btw

The Pretenders version-

Pretenders did do it, but I think one of the best known was Juice Newton.
And maybe Olivia Newton-John too.

Larss and who??? you both are correct the answer is "Angel of the Morning"!!! On the artist side....I should have said BIGGEST hits. who??? got one of the answers I was looking for....Juice Newton! The other person who had a huge hit with the song....was the one who made it into a major hit....Merrilee Rush (who received a Grammy nod for her '68 version of the song)! Good job guys as usual! Of course all of the artists you named recorded the song along with SEVERAL others! Like I said though.....great job!

You are correct sir!!! Good job! Now, it was just coincidence...but it might have been a Freudian reaction....given that it's all I see and hear about on tv. BUT, I haven't seen it up close and personal yet.

Tut tut....Blondie were not the original artist/artistes :(

"The Tide Is High" was a cover of an old reggae song.

It was written by John Holt and originally performed by The Paragons with John Holt.

Methinks a spanking from Miss Hybrid is in order :2Thumbs:
