"Dreamweaver" is correct....but, the best known/original artist was Gary Wright. However I shall give you credit since I was late in responding & REO Speedwagon did record the song also (after Gary Wright)!

Here are your lyrics for today:

"Then you flew your Lear jet up to Nova Scotia
To see the total eclipse of the sun"

Title and artist!

Wasn't Warren Beatty the subject of the song?

I could be wrong, but my understanding was that Carly Simon has never really said who it was about.

In a charity auction, Dick Ebersol (NBC Sports President) was the highest bidder & Carly told him, and during an interview, she whispered the answer to Howard Stern....BUT, yeah, generally speaking, she hasn't revealed the answer publicly. She has given clues here and there...like certain letters in the name....and in a 1989 interview, she did acknowledge that Warren Beatty (who's mother was from Nova Scotia by the way) was one of the subjects of the song.....BUT, that it was actually a composite of 3 men in her life back in her LA days.....SOOOOOOO, since she has yet to reveal the answer fully publicly....it's still open for debate.

Also, from what she has said, it would appear that Larss is also correct....at least partially!
