In this thread, from time to time, I shall post some lyrics from a popular song from the past. Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to name the title of the song and the artist from which the lyrics come!

Here is your first set of lyrics:

"I don't wanna know your name
Cause you don't look the same
The way you did before"

From what song and artist do those lyrics come from?

It was from way back in 2969.

The original artists where first named Earth before they became BS.
The title has someting to do with an anxiety or fear. :?

Albeit a wee bit cryptic...correct on both counts!

Now I know Ozzy has done some SERIOUS drugs in his day...but I know of nothing that could have transformed him quite like that. Sooooo, yep, I'm "betting" that is a cover! :D

I believe this "appears" to be the original:

Ah, but the original version was by Erma Franklin, sister of Aretha.

Also covered by many other artistes including sometime soul freak Bryan Ferry - sons named Otis and Isaac :D

Great job! Since I didn't state "original," the answer I was looking for "Another Piece of My Heart" by Big Brother and the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin)! For future reference, unless I state "original" I will always be looking for the best known version...that way there isn't any confusion. Ha ha ha!

Yet, you managed to know that it was a Jane's Addiction song even though the lyrics are not from "Been Caught Stealing"! Amazing! Ha ha ha!;)

In that case it is "Jane Says" by Jane's Addiction
I'll split credit with paul for the answer.
