That would have been my guess too, but the question does say colony, so I would probably go for Puerto Rico or Cuba. |

What about the Philippines indeed. You nailed it who???! The only United States Mint located outside the continental United States was indeed located in Manila in the Philippines (and contained the mint mark "M" or no mint mark at all)! The purpose of the mint was of course to produce coinage for the colony. Great job who???! |
