Bill unlocks the door to the cellar and finds Jack and Jill both lying dead on the floor in a shallow pool of water. There is some broken glass nearby.

There is only one door. Bill has the only key and the door has not been forced. Jack and Jill were alive when Bill last saw them.
There a very small window that is open ajar. It is not possible for anyone to get through the window.
There are no signs of injury on either Jack or Jill.
Tests show that neither of them were poisoned.

What happened?

I'm pretty sure they both suffered a massive brain seizure trying to solve the man in the lift puzzle.

Gil Grissom needs to stop shagging Miss Scarlett in the Ballroom with the candlestick holder and give me a little help with this one.

CLUE
Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink.

and no, there was no mole involved, so yes, you may be becoming a little obsessed.

Got it got it got it. me sir, me me me me .....

They were in a 69 pissing in each others mouths. The mole jumped out of the bucket and startled them. The bloke had a heart attack and pegged it suffocating the woman underneath him.

Solved... Next one please

I like the answer, but it's not right. The water on the floor was water.

Hold on, hold on, I'm still packing the chains, whips, gags, blindfolds, nipple clamps (extra large), latex jumpsuits and so on.

Who is this Bill and why is he keeping people locked in his basement? Does he have a hose? Does he go around muttering "It puts the lotion on it's skin, or it gets the hose again." ?

There's actually a CLUE in your first sentence.

Was the glass from a bottle of Chablis?

I know, I have cracked it. Spot wanted a drink and got int the bottle but couldn't get out again.

Bill broke the bottle to release him.. ....thus spilling the Chablis on the floor which was stupidly wrongly identified as water.

Am I getting warm?

Only your arse when I spank you for being so fixated on Chablis and moles.

So it has nothing to do with Spot, or Chablis?

What are you posting it for then?

Dear me

Miss L

I hate to end the fun, especially when this talk of warm bottoms is just getting started, but Jack and Jill were fish and Bill knocked over the tank and broke it and the poor fishy's suffocated in the air. The window bit was a nice touch though.

Close but the window was integral. The fishbowl was on the window ledge when the window was opened, knocking the bowl to the ground.

Well that'll teach me to be smug. Obviously You have been through critical thnking 202, whereas i am still struggling with 101, such as "How far can a dog run into the woods?" I still wish i would have hushed and just waited to see what happened with the warm bottom thing, as it was much more interesting.
