You will know how it goes...

You give a line or so of song lyrics.
Whoever guesses the song and artist/group goes next.
If no one guesses at first, you can post more lines.

It will be easy to find out if you are right, as this game is easy to cheat via google. At least give each one some time to be guessed, if you don't know it and go down that route for the answers.

First one...

I crashed down on the crossbar...
and the pain was enough to make
a shy, bald buddhist reflect
and plan a mass-murder

You know it

More lyrics...

Oh, who said I'd lied because I never, I never
Who said I'd lied because I never?
Oh, so I drank one, it became four
And when I fell on the floor, I drank more

  This game is going down a storm!

The whole lyrics of the song...

Stop me, stop me
stop me if you think that you've
heard this one before
stop me, stop me
stop me if you think that you've
heard this one before
nothing's changed
I still love you, oh I still love you
. . .only slightly less than I used to
I was delayed, I was way-laid
an emergency stop
I smelt the last ten seconds of life
I crashed down on the crossbar
and the pain was enough to make
a shy, bald buddhist reflect
and plan a mass-murder
who said I'd lied to her?
who said I'd lied because I never
who said I'd lied because I never
I was detained, I was restrained
he broke my spleen
he broke my knees
(and then he really laid into me)
Friday night in Out-patients
who said I'd lied to her?
who said I'd lied - because I never
who said I'd lied - because I never
Oh, so I drank one
or was it four
and when I fell on the floor
. . .I drank more
stop me, stop me
stop me if you think that you've
heard this one before
nothing's changed
I still love you
I still love you
but only slightly
less than I used to

Judging by the clue from Kobus, I assume that it is The Smiths, but not being a Smiths aficionado, I don't know the song.

The name of the song is in two consecutive lines of the lyrics.

New one:

The hills are bare now
And autumn leaves
Lie thick and still...

I was reminded of this one when I first read the lyrics above.

Through Autumn's golden gown we used to kick our way,
You always loved this time of year,

Correct - First heard this on The War of the Worlds Album and sung by Moody Blue's Justin Hayward.

Another one
It's like I'm waiting for a welcome sign
Like a hobo in the snow
